Bingen Point Visual History
Taken: November 2000
The ribbon-cutting for the third structure at the Bingen Point Business Park, a 9,750 square foot flexible use structure called the 139 Columbia River Building (aka Building 1B). Located immediately south of the 154 Bingen Point Building (aka Building 1A), it established the design foundation upon which future Port buildings at Bingen Point would be built. Completed in 2000 at a cost of $1.25 million, the Port received grants from federal, state, and local programs and contributed $397,000 itself. From left to right, Commissioners Norm Deo and Wayne Vinyard, Executive Director Dianne Sherwood, Administrative Assistant Vicki Drew, Maintenance Operator Ron Lethco, and Commissioner Marc Harvey (cutting the ribbon) can be seen.
