DIY Firework Event
Thank you to our community members for respecting the Port’s last minute cancelation of the “do-it-yourself” 4th of July event.
Please stay safe and do not light off any fireworks that were purchased. It is important that everyone does their part to keep everyone and their property protected from unnecessary fires.
The Port would like to acknowledge all the efforts of the fire agencies battling the Tunnel 5 fire in Skamania County and the efforts of our own Bingen and White Salmon Fire Departments. Thank you to Klickitat County Reserve Deputies and the Bingen and White Salmon Police Department for periodically monitoring the parks during the 4th of July. The Port extends a special thank you to the Appleton Fire Department, Bill Schmitt, and Terry Mitchell for being on scene and keeping us safe.
