The southern (Dock Road) entrance to the Dallesport Industrial Park taken from US Hwy 197. The original industrial park sign can be seen on the left and a newly paved Dock Road runs along the right edge of the photograph. When new signage was installed years later, this sign was removed. The 101 Parallel Building (fka The Dalles Cherry Growers Building), Recycled Aluminum Metals Company (RAMCo) Building (left), and American Grain Processors Building (right) can be seen in the background. The metal sign shown was fabricated by the metal shop students at Lyle High School using $1,000 in materials and was installed May 28, 1981. A nearly identical sign at the north (Dow Road) entrance was fabricated by Lyle metal shop students two years later and installed June 1983.
