Installation of underground utilities along Dock Road. Workers can be seen burying telco, electric, and water lines along the north side of Dock Road just east of the south entrance at U.S. Hwy. 197. The 101 Parallel Building (fka The Dalles Cherry Growers Building) appears in the background. This project, completed by Crestline Construction, opened the door to development of the parcels fronting U.S. Hwy. 197 and Dock Road and construction of the initial stub of Ford Avenue (fka Alpine Avenue).
