TitleThe Lady Washington visiting Bingen Harbor
DateSeptember 27-29, 1991
PerspectiveFacing northwest

This replica of a ship that once explored the Pacific coast was launched in 1989 and two years later traveled the Columbia River, stoping at various points along the way. Marina Park can be seen in the background along with some of the dozens of visitors from the area who came to see the ship. The original single-lane boat ramp and wooden docks can also be seen. A year after this picture was taken (early October 1992), the area just behind the dike at the far left edge of the photograph was cleared in preparation for receipt of the fill material from the Bonneville NavLock project.
