Trout Lake is an unincorporated community located 35 minutes (24 miles) north of the Bingen Point Business Park and 60 minutes (43 miles) northwest of the Dallesport Industrial Park. The nearby Gifford Pinchot National Forest (Mt. Adams Ranger District) provides a wide variety of recreation opportunities and includes the 110,000 acre Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument established by Congress in 1982.
